General Questions about Subscriptions & Legal Questions
2.1 When can I cancel my subscription?
In principle, you can cancel any subscription at any time, provided you respect the notice period. Please note that payments will continue until the notice period has ended. For fixed-term contracts (e.g., a one-year contract), you are usually committed to the payment obligation until the end of that specific term.
2.2 What is the standard cancellation period?
In the Netherlands, most subscriptions have a notice period of 1 month after the initial contract term.
Magazines/Newspapers: If the publication appears less than once a month, the notice period can be up to 3 months.
Cooling-off Period: As a consumer, you generally have a legal 14-day cooling-off period after signing a new contract.
Trial Subscriptions: By law, trial subscriptions should not renew automatically. If a regular subscription is tacitly renewed, it becomes cancelable on a monthly basis.
2.3 Where can I find my customer or subscription number?
Your customer number is usually found on your invoice, in your welcome email, within your online account environment or in the payment details in your bank account. If you cannot find it, don't worry—most organisations can process your cancellation using just your name, address and banking details.
2.4 Is a digital signature or cancellation by letter legally valid?
Under EU Regulation (No 910/2014), electronic signatures carry the same legal weight as handwritten ones. The most important factor is being able to prove the organisation received your request, which is why we provide a Track & Trace code or delivery receipt.

Questions about Status & Confirmation
4.1 I haven't received a confirmation email, what should I do?
Please check your spam folder first. If it’s not there, there may have been a typo in the email address provided. Contact us and we will resend your confirmation and Track & Trace details.
4.2 The organisation hasn't processed my cancellation yet. What now?
Organisations often take up to 30 days to process a cancellation. If more than 30 days have passed, we recommend contacting the organisation directly and providing the Track & Trace code or proof of delivery we sent you. Legally, they cannot dispute the cancellation if you have proof of receipt.
4.3 My Track & Trace status hasn't updated. Is my letter lost?
Sometimes the postal status page lags behind. If your letter has been "in transit" for more than 2 weeks, please contact us. Under our guarantee, we can often resend the cancellation letter at no additional cost.
4.4 Will I receive a confirmation when the subscription is officially canceled?
You will receive a confirmation from us when your letter is sent. However, the final confirmation of the contract ending comes directly from the organisation you are canceling with. Because you have our proof of delivery, you are legally protected even if their administrative processing takes a little longer.
